One of the most satisfying and enriching experiences in life is the act of giving. It is in our nature to give and giving is our natural state of being. When we explore nature, we see how much Mother Nature gives and how much it enriches our lives. Similarly, we also want to give and the act of giving contributes to overall wellbeing and it enriches the life experience. During the crisis, our natural tendency is to help others and we feel very happy and content when we feel we could help someone with whatever we could.
At times, we feel like we have nothing to give if we do not have enough money or feel limited and helpless due to lack of time, energy or resources but we all have the capacity to give something irrespective of the circumstances. We live in a world where most people have far too many physical possessions than they really need and yet they feel sad, lonely and dissatisfied. We may feel like they don’t need anything as they seem to have a lot but they may need someone to talk to so in those cases, we can offer our time, our compassion, our love and acceptance.
A lot of people, who live far away from families, often miss their families during important dates, festivals or when they are facing challenges in their lives. In those scenarios, we can offer our help, our support, our sympathy, our emotional strength, our care, our love and that can make a significant difference in their lives. It may not take much time, money or effort to do so but this can make lasting memories in their mind and will occupy a space in their hearts for years to come and it may be one of the most important things that they might receive in their lifetime so don’t hesitate to offer help.
Many people lack self-confidence, self-belief, self-esteem despite being talented, capable and hardworking. Perhaps there was no one who could see good qualities in them and they may lack the vision about themselves that they are worthy of something. In such a case, we can offer our encouragement, our compliment, and upliftment through our thoughts, actions, words and attitude. We can give hope, belief, courage and support them during their challenges.
Sometimes people go through extreme challenges and we have no idea what to do as we ourselves lack any experience or expertise to offer anything; not even advice. In such cases, we can still give our prayers, good wishes, and blessings and that can be a game changer for the person. When we send powerful positive vibrations, it has the invisible capacity to change circumstances and situations but this has been believed and experimented in order to experience it. One of the best aspects of the act of giving is that we do not even need to be known or related to others in order to give something. We can give others non-judgmental acceptance which is much needed in today’s world. We can also offer compassion and prayers to unknown people who need not know who is praying for them.
We all need one another to enjoy, grow, learn and thrive in life and it is not possible without give and take. There is always energy exchange in terms of giving and receiving. Once we start to give, we open the path of abundance to flow in our lives and that makes our lives more meaningful, beautiful and wonderful thus making our time on the planet worthwhile. Our lives cannot be the same without the exchange of give and take. Once we start giving, it will come back to us in multifold which further enables us to give more and once we give more we receive more and the cycle continues as long as we allow as giving becomes our second nature. There is no limit to what we can give and how much we can give. We only need to have a compassionate heart and a strong desire to help. So what are you planning to give today?
